Games Like Summoners War: Sky Arena in 2026
Summoners War still has one of the deepest monster-building systems on mobile. Here's what else scratches that itch.

Summoners War has been running for over a decade. That's not a fluke. The rune system and monster-building depth hold up in ways that newer games keep trying to copy without quite landing. If you're at the point where you've gotten what you needed from it, these are the games worth considering.
Idle Heroes is the most direct comparison. Long-running, deep hero upgrade systems, guild content that rewards serious investment. The aesthetics are different but the player mindset that works in Summoners War transfers directly. It's not going to feel new, but it will feel comfortable.
AFK Journey compresses the team-building into a shorter runway and delivers the depth faster. Where Summoners War takes months before the interesting decisions start, AFK Journey gets there sooner. Two years of live content means there's a real floor for new players to land on.
Shiba Story Go (site) takes the opposite approach to the roster problem: reset it each run. Three expertise classes, a draft at the start of every session, no persistent monster collection to manage. It won't replace the satisfaction of a fully optimized Summoners War team, but players who liked the build decisions more than the grind tend to find it interesting. Free on iOS and Android.
None of these replace Summoners War specifically. What they do is give you a destination if you want the same kind of strategic thinking applied to a different loop.
